Tire Kingdom Bringing Jobs to South Carolina

Tire Kingdom, part of the TBC Corporation, is coming to town. The company plans to build warehousing in Berkeley County, part of the North Charleston metropolitan area. The site offers access to the port and to the interstate, and will bring 100 jobs into an area hard hit by recession by the end of next year. State officials believe that other companies will follow suit, creating large scale warehousing operations that could bring thousands of jobs into the region.

TBC Corporation is a vertically integrated tire manufacture and retail company. It was purchased in 2005 by Sumitomo Corporation of America.
