DTE Energy is upgrading it’s plant in Monroe, Michigan, investing $900 million in two projects that will bring as many as 900 construction jobs to the region over the next few years. The first project, scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2010 will add scrubbers to the coal burning plant, cutting sulfur dioxide emissions by 97%.
