Central Maine Power, a subsidiary of Iberdrola USA, announced it will cut 40 nonunion jobs. This is part of a larger company wide lay off expected to eliminate 140 jobs in the Northeast. Employees were released on Friday “in an effort to better align the company’s operations with current business needs” according to spokesman Clayton Ellis.
