Wisconsin to Aid Veterans with 18 Job Fairs

A series of job fairs catering to veterans will be conducted in Wisconsin beginning in March and running through October. The fairs are being put on by a partnership including the Wisconsin departments of workforce development, military affairs, veterans affairs and the American Legion.

A total of 18 Veterans Job Fairs will be held statewide starting March 11 at Edgewood College in Madison and ending October 15 at the Army National Guard Armory in Superior. Employment agencies and employers will be able to hire directly. Additionally, veterans can receive information about state and federal benefits.

According to a press release, approximately 8,000 veterans received employment and training services through the program last year. More information can be found on the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs website.
