HHGregg Opening 12 Stores, Hiring 600 Workers in Philly

Hhgregg is continuing its aggressive expansion as the company announced it is opening 12 stores in the Philadelphia area and hiring 600 workers.Based in Indianapolis, hhgregg has been in expansion mode since the dissolution of Circuit City from the electronics retailer market. Earlier this month the company announced it was opening six new stores around Baltimore and in January the company said it was adding two stores in Virginia.

Founded in 1955, hhgregg currently operates 127 stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. hhgregg reports annual revenues of $1.4 billion last year and employs 3,922 people.
