Heartland Recreational Vehicles plans to hire 265 new workers with the expansion of its operations in Elkhart, Indiana. The company plans to invest $2.6 million for a 125,000 square-foot manufacturing complex.
Spurring the expansion for Heartland is the purchase of the brands and trademarks of Fleetwood Enterprises Inc, which filed for bankruptcy protection last year, according to the Associated Press. The acquisitions will allow the company to expand into the western United States.
The 265 jobs in Indiana are slated to be filled by 2013. Local news outlets are reporting the jobs will pay $22 a hour, not including benefits, and that the company is receiving $885,000 in tax credits from the Indiana Economic Development Corp.
Currently, Heartland has more than 900 employees in Indiana.
What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
