Oilfield services company EnerCrest Inc. has shuttered five regional offices and laid off around 225 workers, according to multiple reports.
According to the Associated Press, the closed offices are locates in Sibley, La., where about 125 workers were terminated, as well as in Rifle and Greeley; Big Piney, Wyo.; and Williamston, N.D.
Todd Erickson, the Denver-based company’s chief development officer, cited the poor economy and struggling oil and gas industry as the catalyst for the move. As a result, EnerCrest is reducing its road and pipeline construction operations in energy-producing areas. Erickson added the company does not intend to file for bankruptcy.
EnerCrest supports the oil, gas and natural resource industries in the northern Rocky Mountain region.
What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
