For the month of March, the unemployment rate has again exceeded the 10% threshold in Orange County, California.
On a positive note, as is similar to other regions experiencing such news, the rate of job losses has likewise slowed down.
Since March of last year, a 2.9% overall decline in employment has been experienced for the region, with 39,700 few people working.
The manufacturing sector, one of the hardest hit since the economic downturn, has added 1,800 jobs from February to March. Construction was the hardest hit sector, but saw a loss of only 300 jobs for the same one month period. Rain is cited as a contributing factor, delaying work at numerous sites.
What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
