Appliance Retailer To Open 10 Stores In D.C. Area

MarketWatch: The Indianapolis-based appliance and electronics retailer hhgregg announced today that it will hire 500 employees in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area to work at its 10 new stores. The stores are located around the nation’s capital in both Virginia and Maryland. The company plans to hold job fairs in those cities with new stores from July 19-21.Positions available at the locations include commissioned sales associates, warehouse staff and customer service representatives.
Continuing with its mid-Atlantic expansion, the company opened its first stores in Delaware and New Jersey in May, along with six other stores in Pennsylvania, hiring 600 employees. It currently operates 157 stores all located east of the Mississippi.
