Northman Grumman Corp. Warns 52 Employees Of Possible Layoffs

Northman Grumman Corp. has notified 52 employees at United States Navy base in New Orleans that they may be getting the axe. The defense contractor made the announcement Friday.Northrop’s management claim the company is awaiting a government award in order to keep providing its services to a Navy Reserve E-2C Hawkeye squadron at the base.
Northrop also claims they are confident they will obtain the award eventually, however, notifying the employees of possible impending layoffs is required by law.
Northrop Grumman has been servicing the E-2C Hawkeye squadron since 1995.
