Update: Northrop Grumman Lays Off 173 At Fort Eustis Location

After warning 52 employees in its Tampa location of potential layoffs, Northrop Grumman has announced 173 layoffs at its Herndon, Virginia headquarters.

Northrop Grumman released a statement regarding the layoffs on Friday. The defense contractor said employees working at its Fort Eustis location, which provides maintenance, transportation, and other services, would be the ones most afflicted.

Specifically, the layoffs will hit those employees working in food services. Grumman claims they will no longer be offering food services under a contact at the Fort Eustis location. According to the company, new the new logistics contact no longer covers food services.
