Mohawk Fine Papers, a Cohoes, New York-based paper manufacturer, eliminated 20 jobs today.
The company cut seven white-collar, administrative jobs at their HQ, and another 13 similar jobs at sites in Ohio. The work of those employees is being spread out to others in the company, which has 800 employees worldwide and $300 million in annual sales.
None of the job cuts affected hourly or union workers.
Finch Paper in Glens Falls also cut 15% of its salaried work force in response to sliding demand.
