Belgian-based materials technology company Umicore needs to fill 50 positions due to the recent completion of a plant expansion project in Quapaw, Oklahoma.
The international company held a grand opening ceremony on Tuesday, complete with guided tours.
“What’s exciting about these jobs that are coming to the region is that they are high tech quality jobs that will lead us through the next century,” says Oklahoma Secretary of Commerce and Tourism Natalie Shirley.
The cost of the plant expansion has been estimated at $51 million.
