Here’s some potential help for job seekers in Orlando: the Orlando Business Journal reports UPS has begun hiring 552 seasonal workers in the area.
Hiring began this month and “will continue until employment needs are met,” the business magazine said. According to the report, 411 open positions are for driver helpers, whom aid drivers while making deliveries on the road, and 145 are for package handlers, who help to unload, load and sort packages.
Hires could expect to work between three and five hours a day with a starting wage of $8.50 an hour. Additionally, seasonal employees are eligible to try for a permanent position with the company after Dec. 31.
