In line with its expansion plan, Euro-Composites Corporation, a global manufacturer in the field of advanced composite products, will generate about 70 new jobs in its headquarters in Culpeper County, Virginia. The Virginia Economic Development Partnership worked with Culpeper County officials to successfully seal the project with Euro-Composites against its competitor, South Carolina. The project will add 70 more jobs to its present 82 employees in Culpeper.

Sylke Heil, Executive Vice President Administration & Treasurer of Euro-Composite Corp, said that Virginia has been a good market for their business. “A key deciding factor in our continued expansion in Virginia was the commitment to our employees and the critical role they play, not only in our success, but in future growth plans.”

State of Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell is in full support of the project. Using the Governor’s Opportunity Fund, he approved a $150,000 grant to help Culpeper County. Through its Virginia Jobs Investment Program, the Virginia Department of Business Assistance (VDBA) will aid in the funding to support the company’s recruitment and training activities. Brad Rosenberger, Chairman of the Culpeper County Board of Supervisors, added that their partnership with Euro-Composites provides a positive impact on their economy. “While bringing new businesses to Virginia is important, we are elated to see an established, well-run enterprise like Euro-Composites Corporation grow and prosper here in Culpeper. We welcome the opportunity to work with the state to create these very desirable jobs that contribute to turning around the economy.”
