Emerson Electric Plans to Add 7,000 Jobs this Year

Emerson Electric Co., a St Louis based manufacturer of data center equipment and thermostats, plans to add as many as 7,000 additional jobs this year. The company hasn’t said what kinds of jobs would be added or provided any other specifics about the new positions.
First quarter sales for the company were up 13% and the company expects as much as 17% growth for the year as worldwide economies recover. The company’s stock was up another 1.5% today, adding to a year long growth rate of 41%.
