Morley Companies Inc. is bringing 900 jobs to Saginaw Township in Michigan after receiving a tax incentive from the Michigan Economic Growth Authority.
“The company plans to invest an additional $7.7 million and create 911 direct new jobs,” said vice president at Morley, Chris Furlo.
According to Furlo, after a review of the companies growth trajectory, they requested that the incentive be approved for over 200 more jobs, with an original request of a tax incentive to cover 700 jobs.
“We felt we didn’t have enough open credits so we went back to the state to ask for more. It’s really a credit to our current Morley associates. We’ve grown over the past few years due to a great product at a great price and we couldn’t do it without all our great people. They really deserve the credit.”
Morley Co is the second-largest hardware company in the United States.
“The jobs are available now,” according to Furlo.
