QVC, the most-well known home shopping network in America, is expanding its operations at its distribution facility in Edgecombe County, North Carolina.
The company will invest $71 million over the next five years at the Rocky Mount center, which will add 500 jobs to the North Carolina economy.
Of the 500 jobs coming to the state, 200 of those will be full-time positions with an average salary of $30,216 annually no including benefits. The other 300 will be part-time positions, where wages were not specified.
At 2010’s end, QVC had 541 full-time staff members and 998 part-time employees at the Rocky Mount center.
