SunCoke Energy, a business unit of Sunoco Inc., will hire 89 new employess to run its Middletown, Ohio plant.
SunCoke will become its own company with the new $360 million metallurgical coke plant and will hold a job fair at Miami University Middletown this Saturday from 10 A.M. to 2 p.m.
According to Paula Polyak, human resources manager at Middletown Coke Co., they’ve received a staggering 1,800 applications for the 59 hourly production jobs that are currently open.
“We’re still going through the applications,” said Polyak. “We have not gone through all of them yet.”
In addition to the 59 hourly production jobs, there are also 14 supervisor postions available as well as an additional 16 salaried support positions.
