Employment News

After the recent dissolution of Howrey on March 9, 2011, former partners continued to findhowrey_160x120 places in other firms.  About half of the firm left before the dissolution, and now the rest continue to leave in droves.

Kostas Katsiris, a former litigation partner with Howrey, left for Venable in New York last Thursday, March 10.  Katsiris was able to make partner in January during his time at Howrey, and is now grateful that he was able to be hired by Venable.

Last Friday, March 11, it was announced that four Howrey partners would be joining Covington & Burling.  Alan Wiseman, ex-antitrust cochair, as well as Jason Raofield and Andrew Lazerow, both antitrust litigation partners, are joining the firm, along with John Nields, Jr., who was formerly the white-collar defense cochair at Howrey.

Arnold & Porter announced on March 11 that it is going to add 13 Intellectual Property lawyers to its Los Angeles and Washington, DC offices.  The leading partners in the group are Edward Han, Jennifer Sklenar and Matthew Wolf.  Two other partners at Howrey, Wallace Wu and John Nilsson, will also become part of Arnold & Porter as part of its counsel.  Marc Cohn, Howrey former counsel, will also join the firm.  Wu and Sklenar will go to the Los Angeles office, and Han, Wolf, Nillson, and Cohn will leave to the Washington, DC office.  They are all expected to move to their new positions and offices by March 16, as all those who stayed at Howrey after the dissolution was voted for on March 9 have to remain with Howrey until March 15.

Other firms that are expected to take in more partners from Howrey in the near future include Arent Fox, Haynes and Boone, and Dewey & LeBoeuf.

Only TravelingCrossing consolidates every job it can find in the domain and puts all of the job listings it locates in one place.

  • We have more jobs than any other job board.
  • We list jobs you will not find elsewhere that are hidden in small regional publications and employer websites

  • We are private, and therefore far fewer people are applying for the jobs on our site than are applying for those on public job boards.
I was very pleased with the TravelingCrossing. I found a great position within a short amount of time … I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a better opportunity.
