On Monday, April 11, AT&T announced plans to hire 130 people in Connecticut to fill new jobs in the state. These jobs will mostly be represented by unions and will offer employees benefits and wages that are competitive in the industry.
This Thursday, AT&T will have a job fair in Hartford at the Hilton to look for candidates for these 130 positions. Some of the positions include technical, management, installation technicians, sales, repair, and many others.
AT&T announced that in the last 2 years (from 2008 to 2010), it has invested more than $750 million in wireless and wired networks in Connecticut.
Says Rodney Smith, president of AT&T Connecticut, about the new jobs, “These are good jobs with wages and benefits that are among the best in the nation. We seek individuals equally passionate about customer service and new technologies who want a career with one of the most innovative companies in the region, helping our customers stay connected everywhere they live, work, and play.”
