Jobs Recovery Begins to Pick Up

The April jobs report showed that 244,000 jobs were added that month. Although unemployment rose to 9.0%, this likely reflects an increase in out-of-work individuals who are returning to the job search. Economists are optimistic about the news and view it as a signal that the economy is recovering.
