Inflation Rate Increases in March By EmploymentCrossing | Dated: 05-11-2011

CNN Money reported that the inflation rate jumped in March. The CPI was up 2.7% over last year’s levels. Economist said that once the food and energy sectors were stripped out, though, the so-called “core inflation rate” was low. Gas prices were said to be up over 25% from the year before. Economists said they didn’t expect the high energy prices to continue.
