Plans for Drilling in the Article Submitted by Shell

Royal Dutch Shell has submitted new plans to drill in the Chukchi Sea in northwest Alaska. The drilling is planned for 2012 and 2013. The Department of the Interior still needs to approve the plans and Shell is expected to face stiff opposition from environmental groups. Shell has faced regulatory and environmental hurdles in the past.
