Nestle’s chairman, Peter Brabeck, has said in an interview with SonntagsZeitung that he desires to stay on the board until 2017, at which time he will have reached the statutory limit. Nestle has recently expanded into the realm of products featuring health benefits, and Brabeck believes that this venture will see a 10 percent annual growth. Brabeck, when asked if this expansion poises the company to bid for L’Oreal (in which it already has 30% of stock), has also stated that the key will be determining if acquiring L’Oreal is in line with Nestle’s long term goals.
