Potential Layoffs Reduced for Fresno Unified School District

The Fresno Unified school district will not be laying off as many of their staff as originally planned. The number of teacher job losses, originally 257, is now 124, and the number may be lowered in the near future. Parents and teachers are worried that kindergarten and first grade class sizes are still scheduled to increase, though less than previously projected.
