No tax hike or layoffs in Davie budget plan

Rick Lemack delivered a balanced $93 million budget plan for Davie’s 92000 residents without any tax hike or layoffs. Town Council praised him for this marvelous job when other cities are opting for layoffs. Under this year’s plan, home owners would continue to pay a fire fee of $130 and a base tax rate of $481 per $100,000 of assessed value. Because of town’s voter approved debt for parks and fire station, tax bill might increase from $567 to $569
