148 employees accept voluntary layoffs

- Hanford contractor CH2M Hill Plateau Remediation Co., responsible for cleaning up Hanford ground water, is planning to release 1,400 of its employees by the end of September this year, while 148 of them have accepted to voluntarily abandon their work positions before the company goes ahead with the massive lay-off.
