Budget restrictions and lack of concessions by the Troy Police officers association”s labor department has prompted the City Management on Tuesday to issue layoff notices to 10 well-educated and well-trained police officers who have put almost five years of experience and represent the future of the police department. Negotiations are going-on with the Troy Police Officers association which hopefully will bring an agreement to recall the layoffs, said the Troy Police Chief, Gary Mayer. More details on TroyPatch.
