Glendora budget proposal seeks $714,000 in cuts, includes layoffs

Nearly $714,000 has to be cut from the general fund of the Glendora city in order to include layoffs so as to attain the goals that were planned in the proposal of the 2011-12 budget. Approximately $414,483 can be saved by the proposed budget , if its reduction include various activities such as eliminating the stipend plans for the planning commissioners, eliminating four vacancies, minimizing the budget for travelling to the departments and contracting some city services.
