The Ohio Department of Development has awarded a Minnesota technology company a $118,000 tax credit Monday to move to Springfield.
Minneapolis-based Phygen Coatings’ $2.87 million project will create 20 positions at a 28,000-square-foot building. The company develops and sells wear-resistant and protective coatings.
Phygen must remain in Springfield for 14 years or lose the tax credit.
In September, the US House of Representatives approved a $3.6 million earmark for Phygen.
