Interface to Cut 290 Jobs By Erik Even | Dated: 02-25-2009

Interface reported deeper losses for 2008, and will cut another 290 employees.

The Atlanta-based modular carpet company saw a net loss of $41 million, compared with a net loss of $10.8 million in 2007.

Annual sales were flat at $1.08 billion.

Interface will slash its worldwide employee base by 290 employees. These cuts follow a 14% cut (530 jobs) to its workforce announced in late December 2008.
