Thousands of Verizon Employees Picketing in the Eastern US

Picket lines are being formed by thousands of Verizon workers that are on strike. This is happening across the eastern US in Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C. and a few other states back east.
Since the contract for about 45,000 Verizon employees expired last Saturday and no agreement was made regarding issues such as pensions and health care costs for workers, workers have not been pleased with the company. Because of the striking workers, managers have been sent by the thousands to work in the states that are being affected.
