Over 700 NYC Teachers to Be Let Go

The New York City Education Department has decided to let-go 777 school employees by October. The decision is prompted by the budget cuts for schools, leaving 95% workers of the District Council 37 labor union, jobless. Now the jobless teachers and employees will have to find another school before the class starts. Meanwhile the department has agreed to keep these teachers in the reserve pool.
