RF Micro Devices to Cut 100 Jobs

The Greensboro, North Carolina wireless chipmaker did not say if any of the latest round of cuts would impact RF Micro’s 1,600-person Greensboro workforce.

In December, the company said it would be cutting about 150 workers in Greensboro during Q1 of this year because of slumping customer demand.

The latest restructuring is expected to reduce total expenses by between $12 million and $15 million. There are no current plans for further operating expense reductions, but the company said it will continue to evaluate global demand and take actions as necessary.

RF Micro Devices is a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance radio frequency systems and solutions for applications that drive wireless and broadband communications.
