Adobe Deleting 600 Jobs

San Jose, California’s Adobe Systems, the world’s largest maker of graphic design programs, has cut 600 jobs to cope with slumping demand.CEO Shantanu Narayen, facing shrinking orders for design software from advertisers, announced plans in December to cut 600 jobs, or about 8% of the workforce.
For the current quarter, Adobe expects sales of $675 million to $725 million, missing analysts’ $779.3 million average estimate.
About 58% of Adobe’s revenue comes from Creative Suite, which includes Photoshop and Illustrator. Creative Suite 4, which debuted in September, included Flash media and animation features.
