Schulze Creates Toaster Pastries, Jobs

Chicago’s Schulze & Burch Biscuit Company is creating a new toaster pastry facility in Searcy, Arkansas that will create 250 jobs.The plant will move into a 500,000 square foot building once occupied by Maytag.
Schulze & Burch Biscuit Co. was founded in 1923, and produces toaster pastries, granola bars and other snacks both branded and for leading private label accounts.
The company produced the first toaster pastry for General Foods in 1964, as well as the first crunchy granola bar for General Mills in 1976.
