TRW Automotive Plants Lay Off 42

TRW Automotive plants in Minnesota and Wisconsin are announcing more layoffs.TRW says a total of 42 salaried employees at plants in Winona, Minnesota, and Ettrick & Galesville, Wisconsin, were let go.
The layoffs were part of ongoing reductions in the workforce over the past eight months due to dwindling demand.
These cuts involved salaried employees, unlike most of the 150+ hourly workers who lost jobs since last summer as work shifted to Mexico.
The TRW work force in the Winona area is now about 520 employees, counting all three locations.
TRW Automotive, based in Livonia, Michigan, is a supplier of automotive parts to manufacturers and aftermarket dealers. It was created out of a sell-off of parts of the former TRW Corporation.
