No Flowers for 50 Laid Off FTD Workers

United Online, owner of flower delivery firm FTD, is cutting 50 jobs, most in FTD’s Downers Grove, Illinois headquarters.

Woodland Hills, California’s United Online said the cuts represent less than 5% of FTD’s global workforce.

In Q4, FTD’s sales dropped 14% to $133.7 million.

FTD Group, also known as Florists’ Transworld Delivery, is a floral wire service, retailer and wholesaler. It was founded as Florists’ Telegraph Delivery in 1910.
