Myers Industries Will Shut Ohio Plant, Lay Off 50

Myers Industries will close its manufacturing facility in Fostoria, Ohio in Q2, eliminating about 50 jobs.

The plant is one of the three Ameri-Kart facilities in the company’s automotive & custom segment, which makes custom plastic products for industrial, heavy truck and other markets.

The firm was founded in 1933 as Myers Tire Supply in Akron, Ohio.
