When you think about Walmart and its employee relations the odds are good that you think about the reputation that they have gotten for underpaying workers and dealing with legal issues over things such as overtime and benefits. So while a company like Walmart is not exactly an ideal job for those people in need of some kind of a stable paycheck in can be a place to start in this bad economy, or a place be fall back to when you cannot find a job in your chosen field and you need to be able to pay your bills.

The company is opening a new store in Texas and they will be hiring on about 250 workers, in a combination of full time and part time. The store will be opening in the city of Huston in an area known as the heights. After those 250 workers are set up for the stores opening they are thinking about bringing in 50 more experienced workers from other local stores. This means that their may be some other openings in other stores in the Huston area when all is said and done.

The store is currently hiring for both staff and management positions. Those people who are interested in applying can do so at  http://careers.walmart.com or at a temporary employment center set up by the company at 2150 W. 18th Street, Suite 208 in the city of Huston. Prospective employees can visit the facility weekdays between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM to apply for work in person. For the time being the company has not set forth any word about when the hiring will be over so if you are interested in a position it would be better to get their sooner than later as it is likely to be a first come, first serve situation for qualified candidates.
