Children’s health care provider Nemours plans to cut 325 positions at its clinics, hospitals and offices.

Some 240 employees will lose their jobs, and 85 open positions will be eliminated.

Nemours has 4,400 employees at sites in Jacksonville, Orlando, and Pensacola, Florida; Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. All departments, except physicians, will be affected.

The job cuts are not expected to impact the building of a $400 million 95-bed children’s hospital in Lake Nona, Florida.

Employees losing their jobs will be notified in the last week of April. The severance package will include eight weeks pay, plus one week for every year of service; payment for accrued vacation; health benefits through May 31st; and employment counseling.
