Layoff Rumors Confirmed at Square Enix, Denies Impact on MMO Operation

Layoffs are common in the gaming industry and this means that games get cancelled or shutdown. There are rumors that Square Enix is going to be the latest company to suffer from layoffs. Tipsters hinted that a number of people were laid off from the company’s LA office whose termination might affect some of its online offerings. Only part of these rumors might be true. Layoffs did occur but will have no effect on the company’s online titles.
