Governor David Paterson has announced that Central New York State will receive more than $220 million over the next several months, to update the region’s transportation infrastructure.
Projects paid for with the money are expected to create 1,968 local jobs.
Meanwhile, members of the Civil Service Employees Association are protesting the governor’s proposal to cut 8,900 state jobs by July 1st.
