USAA Moving CA, VA Jobs to TX

United Services Automobile Association is moving 240 California and Virginia jobs to its operations center in San Antonio, Texas.In February, the financial services firm announced the closure of the company’s Sacramento office and part of its Norfolk, Virginia office, as part of a plan to consolidate office space to reduce overall expenses.
There are 625 workers in Sacramento and 475 in Norfolk. Those employees who decide not to move will be offered severance packages.
Some 550 employees have decided to remain with the company, and work at one of four remaining operations centers. Of those, 240 individuals will relocate to San Antonio; 75 to Colorado Springs; 145 to Phoenix; and 90 will move to Tampa.
San Antonio-based USAA provides financial planning, insurance, investments and banking products to members of the military and their families.
