Hallmark Card to Employees: ‘Sorry to See You Go’

Hallmark Cards will cut up to 750 jobs over the next six months.The greeting card maker will slash up to 8% of its US work force, excluding subsidiaries. Between 200 and 250 of those cuts will happen in the Kansas City area.
Hallmark has 4,000 employees at its Kansas City headquarters.
Hallmark is offering a voluntary severance program for employees in its operations division. Up to 450 jobs will be cut from that division’s seven offices in five states.
Affected employees will receive severance and outplacement aid.
Hallmark’s subsidiaries, which include Sunrise Greetings and Crayola, will not be impacted.
