Israel’s Cabinet has approved more EU flights in the country despite airlines going on strike fearing that the agreement would cost them their jobs. Many people scheduled to fly on Israel’s three carriers, El Al, Arkia and Israir, have been stranded at airports. Although the Open Skies reform is good, and will lead to the lowering of prices nor will it harm work places in the market, but the deal would not be implemented until April 2014. Tourism is a major industry in Israel, The Open Skies agreement will surely reduce restrictions on European carriers for using Israeli airspace.
