IBM Notifies State of Its Layoffs

Business leaders in Westchester County do not believe that IBM’s announced layoffs of some 700 employees will have a major negative impact on the region because the workers are highly skilled and will be sought by other companies in the Hudson Valley. The layoffs for IBM are part of a previously announced global restructuring that the company is implementing during the second quarter.
