Hitman Developer Hit with Layoffs as It Refocuses on Franchise

Square Enix Europe has announced that one of its European developers, IO Interactive (a Danish video-game developer), has announced plans to cut its workforce in half, in order for the studio to concentrate on its core Hitman video game series, and to better adapt to a changing and difficult video game market. Square also announced the decision to shelve all current projects that IO Interactive had been working on, to concentrate on developing the Hitman game in the near future.
