Obama Unveils African Electrical Power Initiative

During President Obama’s recent visit to Africa, a $7 billion initiative was announced that will help to bring electrical power to more sections of the continent. In sub-Saharan Africa, the access to power could double over the next five years. Two-thirds of Africans currently lack power. An increase in electricity is expected to help businesses, allow children longer hours to study and keep vaccines safely refrigerated.
